Project-specific cancellation terms in an accepted proposal take priority. This policy does not limit mandatory consumer rights.
Before work starts
A business client may cancel before work starts, but remains responsible for non-refundable third-party costs and any expressly agreed reservation or discovery fee. Any other unused advance payment will be returned.
Consumer cooling-off rights
Where a UK or EU consumer enters a distance or off-premises service contract, a statutory 14-day cancellation period may apply. If the consumer expressly asks work to begin during that period, KGSITES may charge a proportionate amount for work supplied before cancellation. The right may be lost once the service is fully performed after the required express request and acknowledgement.
After work starts
If a client cancels after delivery has begun, amounts already paid are applied to completed work, reserved time, approved work in progress and committed third-party costs. KGSITES will provide a reasonable breakdown. Any balance due must be paid; any clear unused balance will be refunded.
Deposits and staged payments
A payment described as a deposit reserves capacity and funds initial work. Whether any part is refundable depends on work completed, committed cost and the project agreement. Staged payments for accepted milestones are not refunded merely because later stages are cancelled.
Cancellation by KGSITES
KGSITES may suspend or end work for material non-payment, unlawful instructions, abusive conduct, security risk or a serious breach that is not remedied after notice. Fees remain due for properly completed work and unavoidable commitments.
How to cancel
Email contact@kgsites.com with the client name, project and clear cancellation request. Cancellation takes effect when received, subject to any agreed notice period.
